My name is Mila and I am Lispector Adorned. Lispector Adorned was born out of a passion to create pieces that transcend the decorative nature of adornment towards celebration of identity and temperament. Inspiration is drawn from movement, dance, texture in paintings and fabrics, the feel of beautiful things, aromas, ceramic glazes, travels… and people. The name is a bow to my favorite Brazilian writer, a woman whose writing has a grip on my heart. The logo is drawn from an elaborate stirrup I have from my great grandfather who was a blacksmith. Inspiration is a state of awareness and immersion, and the desire to create is innate. I hope you find something here that connects and feels singularly you.

Lispector Adorned is a celebration of beauty and diversity of expression through the use of form, flow, and responsible material.

Form

Lispector Adorned is for all lovers of beautiful things. Lispector Adorned is expression through form. The act of adornment is creation, ritual, and art. To adorn is to have a conversation and a celebration, honoring radical beauty through refinement and appreciation of craftsmanship, quality and origin. Form creates the container and is integral to this process.

Flow

The creation of each piece is like a dance; flow follows form. All pieces are solid and designed to be felt, making their presence known.  It is imperative to consider how the body responds to each piece, yet the energy of movement should be fluid.

Reponsible Material

There is great responsibility in creation. Meticulous care is taken in sourcing; recycled metals, materials, and packaging are used wherever possible. In a culture of blind consumerism, I believe in buying less, but buying better, in order to decrease our environmental impact. I believe in investing in quality pieces that, with care, will last beyond a lifetime.
